Career.zycto is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Corporate Governance Coordinator to join our team in Gladstone CBD. As a Corporate Governance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective functioning of our board and executive management by ensuring adherence to our governance framework, policies, and statutory obligations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a wide array of critical tasks, from preparing comprehensive board and committee meeting materials to managing corporate records and assisting with regulatory filings. You will act as a key point of contact for governance-related inquiries, offering expert advice and support to various internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and distribution of board and committee meeting agendas, minutes, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records, registers, and statutory books in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Support the Company Secretary in ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings and disclosures.
  • Monitor changes in corporate governance legislation, regulations, and best practices, advising on their impact and necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of corporate governance policies, procedures, and charters.
  • Coordinate and track compliance with internal policies and external regulatory obligations.
  • Facilitate and support internal and external audits related to governance and compliance.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new directors and provide ongoing support to board members.
  • Manage and respond to governance-related inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to fostering a strong ethical culture and promoting good governance practices throughout the organisation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a corporate governance, compliance, or company secretarial role (2+ years).
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, legislation, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Corporations Act 2001).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and corporate secretarial software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Post-graduate qualification or progress towards relevant professional certifications (e.g., Governance Institute of Australia, Chartered Secretaries Australia).
