Career.zycto is urgently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Security Officer to join our team in Westmount, Moose Jaw. As a Corporate Security Officer, you will be the frontline defender, implementing and enforcing security protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of premises (internal and external) to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, secure doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to detect suspicious activity and ensure asset protection.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergency calls, and security incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, and unauthorized access.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Control access points, verify credentials, and issue visitor passes as required.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation related to security operations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during investigations or emergencies.
- Provide a visible security presence, deterring criminal activity and maintaining a safe atmosphere.
- Conduct security checks and searches as per company policy to prevent theft or unauthorized removal of property.
- Assist with the development and implementation of new security measures and protocols to enhance overall safety.
- Educate employees on security awareness and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military security.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and incident documentation.
- Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard License.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- Experience with advanced surveillance systems and access control technologies.
- Knowledge of local and federal security regulations.
