Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with clients, both in-person and potentially virtually.
- Assess clients' needs, goals, and challenges to develop individualized support plans.
- Provide guidance on career development, stress management, work-life balance, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices appropriate for client needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Collaborate with internal teams to refer clients to specialized services when necessary.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of counselling services at Career.zycto.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in counselling or a related mental health field.
- Strong active listening and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken) to effectively serve our diverse clientele.
- Understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards in counselling.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for managing caseloads.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Accreditation or licensure as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist in Germany.
- Experience with career counselling and vocational guidance.
- Familiarity with various psychotherapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, systemic therapy).
- Additional language skills are a plus (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic).
