Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with clients, both in-person and potentially virtually.
  • Assess clients' needs, goals, and challenges to develop individualized support plans.
  • Provide guidance on career development, stress management, work-life balance, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices appropriate for client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refer clients to specialized services when necessary.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of counselling services at Career.zycto.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in counselling or a related mental health field.
  • Strong active listening and communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken) to effectively serve our diverse clientele.
  • Understanding of ethical guidelines and professional standards in counselling.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for managing caseloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Accreditation or licensure as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist in Germany.
  • Experience with career counselling and vocational guidance.
  • Familiarity with various psychotherapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, systemic therapy).
  • Additional language skills are a plus (e.g., French, Spanish, Arabic).
