Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to various destinations within London, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and punctuality.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the company vehicle.
- Accurately scan and track packages using handheld devices, ensuring correct delivery confirmation and documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, handling inquiries and resolving minor issues professionally.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring items are securely stored and protected during transit.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and local regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery updates, delays, or issues.
- Handle cash or electronic payments for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) services where applicable.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B minimum)
- Clean driving record with no major endorsements
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg repeatedly throughout the day
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with using GPS/mapping applications
- Customer service-oriented approach with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional courier or delivery driving experience (e.g., parcel delivery, food delivery)
