As a Part-Time Court Filing Assistant, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that all legal correspondence, filings, and records are meticulously organized, filed correctly, and readily available. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately file and retrieve legal documents, correspondence, and records in both physical and digital formats.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, ensuring all documents are correctly categorized and easily accessible.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of court documents, ensuring adherence to specific deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Perform data entry tasks, updating databases and spreadsheets with critical case information.
  • Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Photocopy, scan, and bind documents as needed for various legal processes.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, including mail distribution, supply management, and answering phones, as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal professionals and administrative staff to support daily operations.
  • Conduct periodic audits of filing systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and legal guidelines regarding document management.

Required Skills

  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Strong proficiency in Portuguese (written and verbal) and working knowledge of English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
