National Foods Limited, a leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company in Zimbabwe, is seeking a talented and highly motivated Customer Data Insight Analyst to join our dynamic team. As our Customer Data Insight Analyst, you will be at the forefront of this initiative, working with vast datasets to extract meaningful trends, predict customer behavior, and provide actionable recommendations to various departments, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development.
This remote role requires a blend of strong analytical capabilities, technical proficiency, and exceptional communication skills. You will be responsible for diving deep into our customer data ecosystem, which includes sales transactions, loyalty program data, website interactions, social media engagement, and market research findings. Your daily tasks will involve everything from data extraction and cleaning to building sophisticated analytical models and creating compelling data visualizations that tell a story. You will translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and strategic insights that empower stakeholders to make informed choices.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large customer datasets from various sources (e.g., sales, marketing, digital platforms, loyalty programs).
- Perform in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to customer behavior, preferences, and segmentation.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings clearly.
- Translate complex data analysis into actionable business recommendations for marketing campaigns, product development, sales strategies, and customer retention programs.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and IT teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions.
- Forecast future customer trends and behaviors using predictive modeling techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of various business initiatives and campaigns through data analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance policies.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, data analysis techniques, and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or similar role, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application to customer analytics.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
