Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Customer Data Insight Analyst to join our remote team within Zimbabwe. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in transforming vast amounts of customer data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions across various departments, including marketing, product development, and customer service. This is a unique opportunity for an analyst with a passion for data storytelling to work remotely, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies to unearth trends, predict behaviors, and optimize customer experiences for millions of users. You will be responsible for deep-diving into our extensive datasets, identifying key customer segments, understanding their journeys, and contributing directly to the enhancement of our products and services. Your analytical prowess will help us understand customer churn, improve loyalty, personalize offerings, and ultimately, grow our market share. We are looking for someone who thrives on uncovering hidden patterns, communicating complex findings simply, and challenging the status quo through data-driven recommendations. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various customer touchpoints to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to customer behavior, preferences, and segmentation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental designs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, product features, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Utilize statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression, clustering, time series analysis) to predict customer churn, identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and forecast future trends.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, sales, and customer service teams to translate business questions into analytical problems and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape, integrating external data sources to enrich customer insights.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all analytical processes and reporting.
  • Present complex analytical findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong experience with data analysis and statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio) to create impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application in business contexts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and databases.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications or financial technology (fintech) industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Project management skills and experience managing analytical projects from conception to completion.
