Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat promptly and professionally.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain accurate customer records by updating account information and interaction details.
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a Client Service Representative.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in a BPO or call center environment.
  • Proficiency in additional local languages.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
