Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and review of customs documentation, including import/export declarations, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of information in customs clearance systems and internal databases.
- Liaise with customs brokers, shipping lines, and other relevant parties to track shipment status and resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accessible records of all customs clearance activities and documents.
- Ensure compliance with Mozambican customs regulations and internal company policies.
- Support the customs team with administrative tasks, scheduling, and communication as needed.
- Monitor customs processes to identify potential delays and report issues promptly to senior staff.
- Assist in calculating duties, taxes, and other charges related to customs clearance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
