Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments and analyses of systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritise potential cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to reduce exposure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security requirements into new projects and existing systems.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging cyber threats to continuously update risk profiles and strategies.
- Prepare detailed risk reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives to educate employees on best practices.
- Assist in the development and testing of incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintain documentation for risk assessments, control implementation, and compliance activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cyber Risk Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, vulnerability management, and threat modelling.
- Familiarity with common security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating complex technical risks to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or CRISC.
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles and relevant risk considerations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Prior experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
