Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems for alerts, anomalies, and potential breaches, responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure our defenses are continuously updated.
- Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
- Manage access controls and identity management systems to ensure appropriate levels of access.
- Participate in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives related to security.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Specialist, Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, HTTP/S).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack, LogRhythm).
- Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS).
- Understanding of operating system security (Windows, Linux).
