Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily milking routines, including preparing cows, operating milking equipment, and post-milking procedures.
- Monitor animal health and well-being, reporting any signs of illness or injury to supervisors.
- Feed and water dairy cattle according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
- Clean and maintain barn areas, stalls, and milking parlors to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, skid steers, and feed mixers (with training).
- Assist with calf feeding, cleaning, and general calf care.
- Perform general farm duties, including fencing, minor repairs, and pasture management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and animal welfare standards.
- Work collaboratively with the farm team to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
