Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies across various datasets.
- Develop and implement data quality rules, standards, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, and timeliness.
- Monitor data quality metrics and performance indicators, generating regular reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data owners, technical teams, and business users to define data quality requirements and resolve identified issues.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality problems and recommend preventative measures and system enhancements.
- Design and execute data cleansing activities, ensuring data remediation processes are effective and sustainable.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of data quality tools and technologies.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to users on data quality best practices and tools.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Quality Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with data profiling and data cleansing techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data issues effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and data lifecycle management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Informatica Data Quality, IBM InfoSphere Data Quality, Ataccama).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
