Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions, including data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration processes.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimise existing data pipelines and database queries for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data warehouse systems.
- Implement and manage data governance policies and procedures within the data warehouse.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and big data technologies.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Extensive experience with designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes.
- Proven expertise in data modelling (dimensional, star/snowflake schemas).
- Experience with cloud data warehousing platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and automation.
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Apache Spark or other big data processing frameworks.
