Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure packages and products for transport.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes within the Guelph area.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
- Collect signatures or verify delivery details as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and vehicle records.
- Handle unexpected delivery challenges efficiently and professionally.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's License.
- Clean driving record (Driver's Abstract required).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional delivery driving experience.
- Familiarity with Guelph and surrounding areas.
- Experience using handheld delivery devices or GPS systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
