You will be responsible for meticulously checking delivery manifests, loading and unloading packages, and securing items to prevent damage during transit. Accuracy in record-keeping, including proof of delivery and any return items, is paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to customers within designated routes in Wuse 1, Abuja, and surrounding areas.
- Verify delivery manifests against actual packages to ensure accuracy before departure.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles with care, securing items to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, representing Career.zycto positively.
- Obtain necessary signatures and complete proof of delivery documentation accurately.
- Handle cash or electronic payments for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) orders, if applicable, and reconcile daily.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or challenges encountered during deliveries to dispatch promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety regulations, and operational policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist with warehouse duties, sorting, and organizing packages as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class G or higher, suitable for bikes/vans)
- Proven experience in a delivery or logistics role
- Excellent knowledge of Abuja road networks, particularly Wuse 1 and surrounding areas
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 25kg)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic literacy and numeracy for record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery applications
- Prior experience in customer-facing roles
