Job Description

Are you a highly reliable and energetic individual with a passion for service and a knack for navigating diverse terrains? Katse Lodge & Conference Centre is actively seeking a dedicated Delivery Attendant to join our dynamic team in the picturesque Ha Lejone, Butha-Buthe. In this crucial role, you will be the backbone of our operational efficiency, ensuring that essential supplies, guest amenities, and various items are transported safely and punctually across the lodge premises and to designated off-site locations. Your day will involve a variety of tasks, from carefully loading and unloading goods to ensuring that all deliveries are accurately recorded and handled with the utmost care. You will interact with various departments, from kitchen staff to front office, and occasionally with our esteemed guests, always upholding the high standards of professionalism and courtesy that Katse Lodge is known for. We are looking for someone who is not only a skilled driver but also a responsible individual with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining vehicle integrity. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and punctually transport goods, supplies, laundry, guest luggage, and other items as required across the lodge property and to specified external locations.
  • Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including items transported, recipients, and delivery times.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and lodge safety regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions, acting as a positive ambassador for Katse Lodge.
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management to support lodge operations.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license (Code B or higher preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional driving or delivery experience
  • Strong understanding of local driving routes and conditions around Ha Lejone
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and responsible
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or logistics environment
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety procedures and defensive driving techniques
  • Ability to speak Sesotho is an advantage
  • First Aid certification
