Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
- Follow routes and time schedules meticulously.
- Complete logs and reports accurately.
- Interact with customers in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver (minimum 1 year).
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using GPS devices and route planning applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Nairobi road networks and local geography, particularly the Mountain View area.
- Experience with handheld delivery devices/scanners.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Defensive driving certification.
