Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in optimal working condition.
- Plan and follow optimal delivery routes within the Osbaldwick area and broader London, utilizing navigation tools effectively.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure packages of various sizes and weights, ensuring goods are not damaged.
- Verify contents of shipments against delivery manifests or shipping documents.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, obtaining signatures and providing excellent service.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and payment information (if applicable).
- Communicate any issues, delays, or customer feedback to dispatch promptly and professionally.
- Handle cash or card payments securely when required, following established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned delivery vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving License (Category B minimum) with a clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of London's road network, particularly Osbaldwick and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg comfortably and safely.
- Proficiency with navigation devices (GPS) and route optimization applications.
