Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver prescriptions, medical supplies, and other vital items to designated locations (residences, clinics, facilities).
- Adhere strictly to delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Verify accuracy of delivery contents against manifest before departure and upon delivery, obtaining necessary signatures and documentation.
- Handle and transport items with care, maintaining appropriate temperature controls for sensitive medications when required.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff, patients, and caregivers, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly functioning delivery vehicle, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
- Report any delivery discrepancies, vehicle maintenance needs, or customer feedback to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with light administrative tasks or inventory organization within the pharmacy support area when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 6 months of professional driving experience (delivery, courier, etc.).
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with the Boynton Beach and surrounding areas.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially with documentation.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance checks.
