Career.zycto is seeking dedicated Delivery Helpers to join our network in Heavitree, Exeter. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages safely and efficiently.
  • Help organize packages within the vehicle for optimal delivery routes.
  • Navigate routes alongside the driver, assisting with directions and manifest management.
  • Communicate courteously and effectively with customers during deliveries.
  • Ensure packages are delivered to the correct recipient and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy delivery vehicle environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Report any delivery issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the driver in planning and executing daily delivery schedules.
  • Represent Career.zycto and its partners professionally at all times.

Required Skills

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25kg (approx. 55 lbs).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading delivery manifests.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full UK driving license (desirable, but not essential for this helper role).
  • Good knowledge of the Heavitree and wider Exeter area.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role (even if not delivery-specific).
  • Ability to use a smartphone or handheld device for delivery applications.
