Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with efficient loading and unloading of packages, parcels, and goods from the delivery van.
- Execute timely and accurate deliveries to a diverse customer base across Birch Cliff and surrounding Toronto areas.
- Navigate delivery routes effectively using GPS and pre-planned maps to ensure optimal efficiency and punctuality.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions, representing Career.zycto with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Verify package contents against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and basic upkeep of the delivery van, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with dispatch, team members, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Strictly adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety protocols at all times.
- Accurately complete all required delivery documentation, including logs and reports.
- Assist with light warehouse duties, sorting, and organization during periods of downtime or as required.
Required Skills
- Valid G class driver's license (or equivalent in Ontario) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and route planning abilities.
- High level of punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Birch Cliff, Scarborough, and the wider Toronto road network.
- Attention to detail for accurate package verification and documentation.
- Adaptability to changing delivery schedules and environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (e.g., 3-6 months) in a delivery, logistics, or transportation support role.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
