Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for a portfolio of products using statistical modeling and market intelligence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance teams to gather insights and align on demand plans.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and new product introductions to refine forecasts.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and identify root causes of forecast error; implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels to meet service level targets while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
- Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, presenting forecast assumptions and potential risks/opportunities.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within the demand planning function.
- Prepare and distribute relevant demand planning reports and KPIs to stakeholders.
- Utilize forecasting software and ERP systems effectively to manage and optimize demand planning activities.
Required Skills
- Fluent in English (written and verbal communication)
- Proven experience as a Demand Planner or in a similar supply chain role
- Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and demand planning software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, or a related field
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) or similar professional accreditation
- Experience in the manufacturing or FMCG sector
- Familiarity with various forecasting techniques (e.g., exponential smoothing, moving average, regression analysis)
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
