This pivotal role is essential for accurately forecasting product demand, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring seamless product availability for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain accurate demand forecasts for assigned product categories using statistical modeling and collaborative input.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and new product introductions to refine forecasting models.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to gather market intelligence and align on consensus forecasts.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, identify significant variances, and perform root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, presenting demand plans and highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
- Optimize inventory levels by working closely with supply planners to balance customer service targets with working capital goals.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced planning software to manage and report on demand planning metrics.
- Prepare and present regular reports on forecast performance, market conditions, and inventory health to management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
- Proficiency in statistical forecasting methods and demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, JDA/Blue Yonder).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with various ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
