Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Perform a full scope of general dentistry procedures including restorations (fillings), extractions, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventative care, and available treatment options.
- Administer local anesthesia and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive patient records using digital systems.
- Adhere strictly to all provincial and federal regulations, ethical guidelines, and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage dental emergencies and provide prompt, effective care.
- Participate actively in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in dental practices and technology.
- Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with patients and the community.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited university.
- Current licensure and good standing with the Manitoba Dental Association (MDA).
- Valid CPR certification.
- Proven proficiency in performing a wide range of general dentistry procedures.
- Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and treatment planning abilities.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
- Commitment to ethical practice and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
