Job Description

Career.zycto is urgently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join a dynamic healthcare team located in the heart of Downtown Medford. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions to patients across various age groups (pediatric to geriatric) in individual and group settings.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and contribute to discharge planning.
  • Maintain compliance with all state licensure requirements, professional standards, and facility policies and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology practices.

Required Skills

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current and unrestricted Oregon State SLP license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills across a broad range of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with specific populations such as neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson's, MS), dysphagia management (e.g., FEES/MBSS interpretation), or voice therapy.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish-English) is a significant plus.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinic or acute care setting.
  • Prior experience mentoring CFYs or student clinicians.
