Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and passionate DevOps Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dingle, Liverpool. As a DevOps Specialist, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring seamless software delivery from code commit to production deployment. You will work closely with our development, QA, and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring solutions. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality software faster and more reliably to our diverse portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Manage and provision cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting languages (Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and services into the existing infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Ensure security best practices are integrated into all stages of the development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical infrastructure and applications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash) and experience with configuration management (Ansible)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
  • Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
  • Experience with serverless architectures
