Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead the evolution of our talent development initiatives in Kwekwe, Midlands Province. As a pivotal member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous growth and high performance. The Director of Learning & Development will drive the assessment of organizational and individual training needs, identify skill gaps, and formulate strategic plans to address these needs through various learning methodologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that supports Career.zycto's strategic objectives and talent needs.
  • Lead the assessment of organizational and individual learning needs through various methods, including surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
  • Design, develop, and implement innovative learning programs, workshops, and resources covering leadership development, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs using relevant metrics and feedback mechanisms, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality learning solutions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.
  • Research and integrate new learning technologies, methodologies, and trends to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with HR, executive leadership, and departmental managers to align L&D initiatives with broader talent management and business strategies.
  • Mentor and develop any direct reports within the L&D function, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Ensure all learning programs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic L&D initiatives.
  • Expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and various training methodologies.
