You will be a relentless champion for a culture of continuous learning and innovation, strategically leveraging modern pedagogical methodologies, advanced learning technologies, and creative content delivery to provide engaging, effective, and measurable programs. This role demands a unique blend of strategic foresight, pragmatic hands-on leadership, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. You will collaborate intensively with C-suite executives, senior HR leaders, and internal/external subject matter experts to accurately identify pressing learning needs, architect bespoke solutions, and rigorously measure the tangible return on investment (ROI) of all L&D activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with Career.zycto's and client business objectives.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning programs, including e-learning modules, workshops, and blended learning solutions.
  • Conduct thorough training needs assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the management of L&D budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
  • Establish robust metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of L&D initiatives on performance and business outcomes.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a team of L&D specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends to ensure cutting-edge solutions.
  • Facilitate high-level workshops and executive coaching sessions for senior leadership teams.
  • Drive talent management initiatives, including succession planning and leadership development programs.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a senior L&D leadership role, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Deep expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic change and foster a learning culture.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Learning & Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
  • Experience working with diverse industries and client types.
  • Familiarity with talent assessment tools and 360-degree feedback processes.
  • Knowledge of local Zimbabwean labor laws and educational standards.
