Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with Career.zycto's business objectives and talent strategy.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative learning programs, including e-learning, blended learning, workshops, and leadership development initiatives.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions across various departments and employee levels.
- Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships effectively to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient program delivery.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs, reporting on ROI and making data-driven improvements.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department.
- Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to ensure L&D initiatives are integrated with broader talent management strategies.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior Learning & Development leadership role, preferably as a Director.
- Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, adult learning methodologies, and talent management principles.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of implementing impactful L&D programs.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing L&D professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure program effectiveness and report on key L&D metrics.
- Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications in areas such as instructional design, change management, or leadership coaching (e.g., ATD, SHRM).
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving or growth-oriented organization.
- Familiarity with talent development best practices specific to the Zimbabwean or Southern African context.
