Career.zycto is seeking an inspiring and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s strategic objectives.
  • Design, implement, and manage a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance courses.
  • Identify current and future skill gaps through needs assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize learning interventions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs using appropriate metrics and revise programs to ensure continuous improvement and ROI.
  • Research and integrate innovative learning technologies and methodologies (e.g., e-learning, blended learning, micro-learning).
  • Manage the L&D budget, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
  • Coach and mentor senior leaders and high-potential employees to enhance their leadership capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends in L&D, and regulatory changes.
  • Report on L&D initiatives, progress, and impact to senior management and key stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing successful learning and development strategies.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and budgets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of L&D initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Strategic thinking with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing organizational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in Instructional Design, Coaching, or Change Management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced consulting or talent solutions environment.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and HR analytics platforms.
  • Prior experience leading L&D initiatives within the Southern African context.
