Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives from our Marondera office. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a holistic Learning & Development strategy that supports Career.zycto’s business objectives and talent management goals.
  • Design, implement, and manage a wide range of innovative training programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, onboarding, and soft skills workshops.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing L&D team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of learning technologies and platforms (LMS, e-learning tools, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to identify skill gaps and future learning needs across the organization.
  • Establish robust metrics and evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness, impact, and ROI of L&D initiatives.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends in learning technologies, and adult learning theories to continuously enhance our offerings.
  • Foster a vibrant learning culture that encourages self-directed learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive L&D strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience guiding and mentoring L&D professionals.
  • Expertise in instructional design principles, curriculum development, and various training methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to successful implementation and evaluation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in leveraging learning technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Budget management experience for L&D initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Learning & Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD Certification).
  • Experience with change management principles and their application in L&D programs.
  • Familiarity with talent management software and HRIS integration for learning data.
