Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Learning & Development to lead our strategic initiatives in Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s vision and client needs across diverse industries.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules for both internal staff and external clients.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and future development requirements, translating them into effective learning solutions.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and demonstrating a strong return on investment for all programs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of learning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Establish and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of L&D initiatives, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends to ensure cutting-edge program offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, operations, and client-facing teams to integrate learning initiatives seamlessly into broader organizational goals.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior L&D leadership role, preferably as a Director or Head of L&D.
- Demonstrable expertise in adult learning theories, instructional design, and various training delivery methods.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a track record of implementing successful L&D programs.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with an ability to inspire and develop talent.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certifications in recognized learning & development methodologies or talent management.
- Experience working with diverse client portfolios or within a consulting environment.
