Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent transformation initiatives in Gweru, Midlands Province. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive learning strategy that aligns with our organizational goals, fosters a culture of continuous growth, and elevates employee performance across all levels. Beyond program design and delivery, the Director of L&D will also be responsible for establishing robust metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and ROI of all learning interventions. You will continuously analyze data to refine programs, demonstrate impact, and advocate for further investment in talent development. Managing external vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality of outsourced training resources will also fall under your purview. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across all departments.
  • Design, develop, and deliver innovative and engaging learning programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills workshops.
  • Manage the full learning lifecycle, from content creation to program delivery and evaluation.
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external training providers and e-learning platforms.
  • Establish robust metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of L&D programs.
  • Partner with senior leadership to integrate learning initiatives into overall talent management and succession planning.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
  • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Mentor and lead a small team of L&D professionals, fostering their growth and development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing large-scale L&D strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and modern learning technologies.
  • Excellent program management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
