Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking an exceptional and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Mutoko, Mashonaland East Province. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, dedicated to cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across our organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto’s strategic goals and organizational needs.
- Design, develop, and implement innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership development, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities across all departments and employee levels.
- Manage the full lifecycle of learning initiatives, from conceptualization and content creation to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors and resources, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Mentor and coach internal trainers and subject matter experts, enhancing their delivery and facilitation skills.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for L&D programs, track progress, measure ROI, and report on effectiveness to senior leadership.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and talent development trends.
- Manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a senior L&D role (minimum 7 years).
- Demonstrable expertise in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into effective learning solutions.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision making and program evaluation.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or a similar professional qualification.
