Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's strategic objectives and talent needs.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative training programs, including leadership development, technical skills, soft skills, and compliance training.
  • Identify current and future skill gaps through needs assessments, performance data analysis, and close collaboration with department heads.
  • Oversee the management and continuous improvement of learning technologies and platforms (e.g., LMS, e-learning tools).
  • Establish robust metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness and ROI of L&D initiatives.
  • Mentor, coach, and manage a team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning within the team.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and adult learning theories to continuously enhance our offerings.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the entire organization.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale L&D strategies and programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to measure training effectiveness and calculate ROI.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in instructional design, coaching, or talent development (e.g., CPLP, ACC).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment within the Zimbabwean market.
  • Familiarity with blended learning approaches and digital transformation in L&D.
