Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Manually wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all dishes and equipment are clean, dry, and stored correctly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and machines.
- Monitor dishwashing chemical levels and replace as needed, following safety protocols.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep work, such as cleaning vegetables or organizing storage areas, as required.
- Handle and dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Support other kitchen staff and team members as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to a supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes hot/humid environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull carts.
