Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently plan, schedule, and dispatch vehicles and drivers for deliveries and collections.
- Monitor delivery progress in real-time, responding promptly to delays, diversions, or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and support throughout their routes.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed, and loaded accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including routes, timings, and delivery confirmations.
- Process and manage all necessary documentation, such as delivery notes and manifests.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues related to deliveries in a professional and timely manner.
- Utilise dispatch software and tracking systems to optimize routes and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the dispatch department.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a dispatch, logistics, or transport coordination role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
