Sendy is looking for dedicated Dispatch Riders to join our dynamic team in Nairobi. In this pivotal role, you will be the face of Sendy, ensuring the swift and secure delivery of packages and goods across designated routes within Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely and secure delivery of packages, documents, and goods to designated locations within Nairobi.
- Efficiently plan and follow optimal delivery routes using Sendy's mobile application to meet strict deadlines.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery items against invoices or delivery notes upon collection and delivery.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service during interactions with clients.
- Ensure the safety and security of all packages from pick-up to delivery.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or delays to the dispatch team promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the assigned motorcycle.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Collect payments from clients where applicable and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Provide accurate delivery status updates through the Sendy app.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or Class BCE (Motorcycle) driving license.
- Proven experience as a dispatch rider in Nairobi.
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi's road networks and geographical areas.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and mobile applications effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for routine motorcycle maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate.
- Experience using delivery management software or apps.
- A clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Customer service experience.
