Key Responsibilities
- Perform engaging DJ sets for various shipboard events (parties, lounges, pool deck, late-night discos).
- Curate diverse music selections catering to international guest demographics.
- Operate and maintain professional audio/lighting equipment, troubleshoot minor issues.
- Collaborate with the entertainment team to ensure seamless event execution.
- Engage with guests and create a positive, interactive atmosphere.
- Adhere to cruise line schedules, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with set-up and tear-down of equipment.
- Provide basic announcements and act as a host when required.
Required Skills
- Proven professional DJ experience with a strong performance portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in DJ software (Serato DJ, Rekordbox, Traktor Pro) and hardware.
- Extensive knowledge across multiple music genres (Top 40, Dance, Pop, Rock, R&B, Latin).
- Excellent crowd reading and adaptable musical programming.
- Basic technical understanding of sound and lighting systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid STCW certification or willingness to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cruise ship, resort, or hotel entertainment experience.
- Experience with live mixing and turntablism.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
- Formal training in music production or audio engineering.
- Ability to host or MC events.
