Career.zycto is seeking an energetic and dynamic Full-Time DJ for a vibrant radio station serving the Duvernay, Laval community. You’ll be responsible for developing and hosting engaging segments, conducting interviews, and ensuring our programming adheres to broadcasting standards while maintaining a fresh and exciting appeal. You’ll work closely with our production team to create promotional spots, intros, and outros, ensuring a seamless and professional on-air product. Key Responsibilities
- Host live radio shows with an engaging and dynamic on-air personality.
- Curate and program music selections appropriate for the target audience and broadcast schedule.
- Prepare and deliver compelling show content, including scripts, listener interactions, news updates, and interviews.
- Operate broadcasting equipment, audio consoles, and automation software efficiently and professionally.
- Engage with listeners through various platforms, including phone calls, social media, and live events.
- Adhere strictly to all CRTC regulations, station guidelines, and broadcast best practices.
- Produce creative promotional spots, jingles, and advertisements in collaboration with the production team.
- Represent the radio station at local community events, promotions, and public appearances.
- Research and stay informed on current events, local happenings, and music trends relevant to the audience.
- Provide regular feedback and ideas for program improvement and audience engagement strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven on-air broadcasting experience as a DJ or radio host.
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep knowledge of various music genres and current trends.
- Proficiency in operating professional audio equipment and broadcasting software (e.g., WideOrbit, Zetta, Adobe Audition).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, especially during live broadcasts.
- Creativity and the ability to develop original, engaging content.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is highly advantageous given the Laval market.
- Experience in audio editing and production.
- A demonstrated strong social media presence and engagement skills.
