Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and tidy all assigned guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to hotel brand guidelines.
  • Replenish linen, towels, and guest amenities according to established stock levels and hotel standards.
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors, ensuring all surfaces are immaculate and free from dust and debris.
  • Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with hotel procedures and environmental guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, safety hazards, or missing items promptly to supervisors for immediate action.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints courteously, efficiently, and professionally, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and guest room amenities, requesting replenishment as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with the housekeeping team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with laundry duties, preparing rooms for VIP arrivals, and deep cleaning schedules as required to maintain peak hotel presentation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 6 months) in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform duties requiring bending, lifting (up to 15 kg), pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing and walking.
  • Basic understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations relevant to a hospitality setting.
  • Proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Familiarity with various professional cleaning chemicals, equipment, and eco-friendly cleaning practices.
  • Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to speak additional languages, especially those common among international guests.
