Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and experienced Driver for Logistics & Delivery to join our growing team in Flankers, Montego Bay. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a company-provided vehicle for the delivery and collection of goods.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, adhering to assigned schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate loading, unloading, and securement of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain precise delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Handle delivery documentation, including invoices, manifests, and proof of delivery receipts.
- Assist with warehouse duties, such as sorting and organizing packages, when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaican GDL, ideally with appropriate class for commercial vehicles).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role.
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Excellent knowledge of Montego Bay and surrounding areas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Customer service experience in a delivery setting.
- Additional certifications in defensive driving or road safety.
