Job Description
Are you a passionate advocate for quality education with a knack for strategic planning and curriculum development? ELDA Institute is seeking a dedicated and innovative Education Officer to join our Planning & Development team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of our educational offerings, ensuring they remain relevant, impactful, and aligned with national and international educational standards. Your primary focus will be on the research, design, implementation, and evaluation of new academic programs and the enhancement of existing curricula. This involves conducting thorough needs assessments, market research, and stakeholder consultations to identify emerging educational trends and gaps. You will work collaboratively with subject matter experts, faculty, and administrative staff to translate educational objectives into coherent and engaging learning experiences.
Beyond curriculum, this role requires a strategic mindset for educational policy and resource planning. You will contribute to the development of institutional policies, assessment frameworks, and quality assurance processes that uphold ELDA Institute’s commitment to excellence. The Education Officer will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports, proposals, and presentations for management and external partners, showcasing progress and recommending future initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and needs assessments to identify new program opportunities and areas for curriculum enhancement.
- Design, develop, and review curricula, syllabi, learning materials, and assessment strategies for various educational programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and subject matter experts to ensure pedagogical soundness and alignment with learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs, recommending improvements based on feedback and performance data.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of institutional educational policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and presentations on educational planning and development initiatives.
- Stay abreast of national and international trends in education, pedagogy, and relevant industry demands.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators on new curricula or teaching methodologies.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including government bodies, industry partners, and community organizations, on educational development projects.
- Assist in the accreditation processes for new and existing programs.
