This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of electrical systems across our diverse portfolio of industrial and administrative buildings, including our advanced tea processing factories, sprawling office complexes, and various staff residential units. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical installations, from conceptual design and detailed engineering to meticulous project supervision, seamless commissioning, and comprehensive ongoing maintenance. This encompasses a broad spectrum of electrical infrastructure, ensuring every facility operates at peak performance and safety.
Your expertise will be critical in designing robust and resilient power distribution networks, implementing advanced, energy-efficient lighting solutions, integrating state-of-the-art security systems, developing sophisticated fire detection and alarm systems, and guaranteeing the electrical integrity and functionality of HVAC systems and specialized tea processing machinery. You will skillfully interpret complex electrical schematics, architectural drawings, and detailed operational requirements to develop cost-effective, sustainable, and fully compliant solutions. A strong emphasis will be placed on adhering strictly to both national (Kenya Electricity Regulations, Energy Act, ERC) and internationally recognized electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, BS, NEC) to ensure optimal performance and safety across all projects.
This role offers a unique and impactful opportunity to contribute significantly to critical infrastructure projects that directly support thousands of small-scale tea farmers and underpin a vital segment of the national economy. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including civil engineers, mechanical engineers, process engineers, external contractors, and various internal stakeholders to deliver projects not only on time and within budget but also with an unwavering commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and the highest quality standards. We are looking for an individual who is not only technically proficient with a keen eye for detail but also possesses exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong project management acumen, and a proactive, innovative approach to continuous improvement. If you are passionate about applying your electrical engineering expertise to real-world challenges and eager to make a tangible, lasting impact within a vital industry, we highly encourage you to apply and become a part of the KTDA legacy.
