Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, California. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems, components, and circuitry for aerospace and defense applications.
- Perform detailed analysis, simulation, and modeling of electrical circuits and systems to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
- Generate and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings in accordance with industry and company standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate electrical designs into larger systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical system anomalies and implement corrective actions.
- Support the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design to manufacturing, testing, and in-service support.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in electrical engineering.
- Adhere to strict aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical system design, analysis, and testing.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, PSpice).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA development.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or automotive industries.
- Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and other relevant aerospace standards.
- Experience with high-power electronics or RF design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python for embedded systems or test automation.
- Project leadership experience or demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers.
