Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician with a strong focus on wiring and repair to join our dynamic team in Curepipe. This critical role involves performing a wide array of electrical tasks, from intricate wiring installations in new constructions and renovations to comprehensive troubleshooting and repair of existing electrical systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical systems and components using appropriate testing devices.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to determine wiring layouts and installation requirements.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with national electrical codes (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Liaise with clients to explain work performed, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in electrical wiring, installation, and repair.
- Thorough understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment (multimeters, circuit testers, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of national and local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

- Physical dexterity and ability to work in various environments (heights, confined spaces).
Preferred Qualifications
