Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Employee Onboarding Assistant to join our growing Human Resources team in Mecufi, Cabo Delgado Province. This is an exciting opportunity for an organized individual looking to kick-start their career in HR and play a pivotal role in shaping the initial experience of our new hires. As an Employee Onboarding Assistant, you will be the first friendly face and key support system for incoming talent, ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient transition into our company culture. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will be crucial in preparing onboarding documentation, coordinating orientation sessions, and providing essential administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare all necessary documentation for new hires, including offer letters, contracts, and benefits information.
  • Schedule and facilitate new employee orientation sessions, ensuring a warm and informative welcome experience.
  • Prepare and distribute welcome kits, access cards, and other essential tools for incoming staff.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely entry of new employee data into HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees, addressing initial queries and guiding them through company policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with IT, Facilities, and department managers to ensure new hires have their workstations, software, and necessary equipment ready.
  • Maintain organized and confidential employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Support the wider HR team with various administrative tasks, special projects, and event coordination as needed.

Required Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior administrative, customer service, or office support experience.
  • Basic understanding of human resources principles or processes.
  • Diploma or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
