Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an experienced and empathetic Employee Relations Specialist to join our distributed team. This pivotal ‘Work from Anywhere’ role will be instrumental in fostering a positive and productive work environment for our global workforce, ensuring fairness, compliance, and mutual respect across all employee interactions. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, providing expert guidance to managers and employees, and upholding our commitment to a fair and inclusive culture.

Your day-to-day will involve conducting thorough and impartial investigations into various workplace concerns, including grievances, harassment claims, discrimination allegations, and policy violations. You will serve as a trusted advisor, offering counsel on performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and compliance with local and international employment laws. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion and integrity. You will develop and implement employee relations strategies, programs, and policies that align with our company values and business objectives, while also ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct impartial, thorough, and timely investigations into complex employee relations issues, including allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure all employee relations practices and policies comply with relevant local and international labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and review employee relations policies, procedures, and programs to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Mediate disputes between employees and management, working towards constructive resolutions.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to address ER challenges and implement proactive solutions.
  • Analyze ER data and trends to identify root causes and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Facilitate training sessions for managers on employee relations best practices, policy interpretation, and effective communication.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience in Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., Singaporean labor law, international labor standards).
  • Proven experience in conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate sensitive information clearly and empathetically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of discerning facts and providing sound recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High degree of cultural competence and experience working with diverse global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CIPD.
  • Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work model.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
  • Experience with global employee relations issues and cross-border legal frameworks.
