Job Description
Are you an empathetic, solutions-oriented Employee Relations Specialist with a passion for fostering positive workplace cultures, even from a distance? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Employee Relations Specialist, operating entirely remotely from anywhere within British Columbia, with a preference for candidates residing in the Surrey region. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a fair, respectful, and productive environment for all our employees, regardless of their physical location.
As an Employee Relations Specialist at Career.zycto, you will be the cornerstone of trust and fairness, serving as a primary point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues. Your expertise will guide us in navigating complex HR situations, ensuring compliance with provincial labor laws (specifically British Columbia’s Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code) and internal company policies. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional judgment, and a compassionate approach to conflict resolution. You will conduct thorough investigations into grievances, harassment claims, and disciplinary matters, providing balanced and equitable recommendations.
This isn’t just about problem-solving; it’s about prevention and education. You will play a proactive role in developing and delivering training programs on topics such as conflict resolution, respectful workplace conduct, and HR policies to both employees and management. Your ability to build strong relationships virtually will be crucial, fostering an open-door policy even when geographical distance separates us. You’ll collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and Legal teams, contributing to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance our remote employee experience.
